Life in Full

GosderCherilus

A former NFL tackle and entrepreneur showing driven people how discipline, achievement, and enjoyment can belong in one full life.

Work with devotion.

Enjoy without guilt.

01

A life bigger than one title

Gosder is the unifying example. Football, business, mentorship, community work, faith, learning, and a wide range of lived interests all point to the same way of living.

His story is not about trading ambition for balance. It is about keeping achievement in service of a life worth living.

That means doing the work, opening the room for others, and being fully present for what the work makes possible.

02

Strive and savor

Pursue achievement with discipline, devotion, and resilience. Then participate fully in the relationships, culture, pleasure, peace, and experience the work was meant to make possible.

Strive

Prepare. Repeat. Keep the standard. Stay with the work when the pressure rises.

Savor

Recover. Connect. Learn. Travel. Create. Enjoy the life being built without guilt.

One life. Both words.

03

One philosophy. Many arenas.

Gosder's personal brand sits above the roles and ventures. Each becomes proof of the same standards, curiosity, responsibility, and commitment to a fuller life.

Bastion Companies

Bastion Companies is the holding and real estate development company Gosder founded in Boston, the city where he grew up.

He got interested in real estate on summer construction jobs in high school. In 2010, while he was still playing in the NFL, he formed his first development company so the work after football would already be underway.

Bastion is a certified minority-owned business and a co-developer of 10 World Trade, a 17-story office and lab building in the Boston Seaport. Gosder leads the diversity and inclusion work on the project and brings minority-owned subcontractors onto it.

Show up with a joint venture contract or partnership, bring a minority-owned company with you. That way they can work with you, learn with you, learn from you, and they can start being a little bit bolder.

Ideas for people who do the work

Direct observations on pressure, practice, belonging, and the permission to enjoy what you build.

  1. 01

Pressure comes with choosing something difficult. You still get to enjoy your life.

Ambition creates weight. It does not require guilt around recovery, connection, culture, or pleasure.

  2. 02

Do the work. Then enjoy what the work made possible.

Striving and savoring are not competing identities. Each protects the meaning of the other.

  3. 03

If the room was hard to enter, leave the door open for somebody prepared to follow.

Show them the work you did to get ready.
